Day 131: Exercise prep

What I'm listening to today

Steelers Update on Pennlive (2020, Podcast) - I started tuning in to this podcast recently, because I heard it was informative and well-presented (and short). It doesn't disappoint on all fronts. Episodes are 20-ish minutes, well-written and researched, and dense with information. I listened to a couple of back episodes, one on the "retirement" of Antonio Brown and another on how Steeler fans will receive players taking a knee for social justice if and when the season begins.

What I'm doing today

Decluttering - Our Peleton is arriving this weekend, so I continued to work on clearing out the basement. It will also need to serve as a classroom in about a month as well, so floorspace is at a premium. I finally cleared out and sorted all of the old boys' clothes that are going to a friend (and are now currently piled up in the back of my car). We picked up everything off the floor including all the furniture, vacuumed up all the dead spiders, and rearranged in a way that makes room for the new bike, a classroom desk/table, and a baby swing.

I'm sure there are undesirables lurking beneath the surface, so I'll let it lie for a few days before I do anything else with it. 51.  ✅  Deal with the shred pile This took days. I've been accumulating junk mail, old bills, and literally anything with my name, a family member's name, or our address on it for several months resulting in a two-foot tall stack of papers. It couldn't be done all at once, because (A) the shredder kept overheating, and (B) I kept running out of places to store the shreds. (They take up considerably more room than the unshredded sheets of paper.) 75  ✅  Clean off the workbench Getting rid of the shred pile was the main roadblock in completing this task, but it's done. And now there's a bike up ...
