Day 105: 262080 minutes

Just for reference, today is the last day of June. The year is half over.

What I'm doing today

Delivering - A neighbor of ours was taken to the hospital the other day with appendicitis for an emergency appendectomy. She has been so good to our family in the past so we wanted to do something nice for her. We made a trip to Trader Joe's and picked up some flowers and snacks. The 8yo and I delivered them during nap time. We were surprised to discover that the orchid my wife picked out was our neighbor's favorite flower and was in her wedding bouquet.

Partying - It was pretty hot out, but it was clear that the kids were going to either explode with excess energy (3yo) or collapse into the couch, never to be seen again (5yo, 8yo). So I put the cars in the street and swept out the garage to make a play space. Tricycle and scooters were the main event, and I put dance party tunes up on the TV on the wall. There were bubbles and stomp-rockets too.

I've been accumulating junk mail, old bills, and literally anything with my name, a family member's name, or our address on it for several months resulting in a two-foot tall stack of papers. It couldn't be done all at once, because (A) the shredder kept overheating, and (B) I kept running out of places to store the shreds. (They take up considerably more room than the unshredded sheets of paper.) 75  ✅  Clean off the workbench Getting rid of the shred pile was the main roadblock in completing this task, but it's done. And now there's a bike up ...
