Day 78: Almost babytime

Today is my last day with three kids. The C-section is scheduled for tomorrow morning. We had our final prenatal appointment this morning, and everything looks great! We are all super excited and can't wait to meet the little booger.

What I'm watching today

Clueless (1995, Netflix streaming) - One of the best movies of the 90s landed on Netflix this week, and it was a no-brainer to watch it immediately. In addition to being a great movie, this film has an outstanding cast, brilliant performances and an awesome soundtrack. This movie is brilliant; just watch it.

What I'm doing today

Mulching - I went and picked up a few bags of mulch on the way home from the post office. I recruited a 3yo fresh off his nap to help me shovel. We filled in the flower planters that I weeded yesterday. We then dug up most of the sod around the maple tree in the front yard and transplanted it to a bald spot nearby. We didn't have enough to cover the entire bald spot so we raked up some of the clay and mixed in some good soil. We then seeded and covered the area before hosing it down and roping it off. The 3yo had so much fun using the shovel and the hose.

What was left was a smooth patch of barren soil. I'm sure there are undesirables lurking beneath the surface, so I'll let it lie for a few days before I do anything else with it. 51.  ✅  Deal with the shred pile This took days. I've been accumulating junk mail, old bills, and literally anything with my name, a family member's name, or our address on it for several months resulting in a two-foot tall stack of papers. It couldn't be done all at once, because (A) the shredder kept overheating, and (B) I kept running out of places to store the shreds. (They take up considerably more room than the unshredded sheets of paper.) 75  ✅  Clean off the workbench Getting rid of the shred pile was the main roadblock in completing this task, but it's done. And now there's a bike up ...
